Teachers Day Celebration and Christmas Party held

ALBOR DISTRICT- Teachers of Albor District celebrated the joint teachers day and Christmas party at the new Libjo gymnasium last December 14, 2007. The said celebration showcased the different talents and enhanced unity and socialization among teachers. The most unforgettable performance was that of the central teachers headed by Mrs. Natividad Buenafe. Imagine teachers doing rap singing! heheheheh.... There so cute especially my wife. heheheheheheh

Division Mancom rescheduled

NEWS ALLERT:

The Division of Dinagat will hold its first Dinagat Division MANCOM Conference at Lorito. The Original Schedule was set on December 4 but, it was postponed to December 6 and finally rescheduled on December 20 due to bad weather. All public elementary and secondary school administrators are expected to participate in this conference with a registration fee of P100.00.

New Division of Dinagat Islands created

OPINION

I think this is advantageous and disadvantageous in some other aspects. Advantageous because many items will be created which prioritizes all aspiring teachers in the islands. Disadvantageous in the sense that promotions might be under the recommendations from the local and provincial units which allow less competent teachers to be hired even if they did not reach the qualifications and standard for hiring teachers. The center is very distant from the other districts. Teachers should travel miles by motorcycle or jeeps through rough roods which is dangerous in times of meeting and other transactions in the division office. It would be better if the division office will be stationed in the most accessible areas both by land and water.

Crab Mentalities

OPINION:

Can you imagine a world full of crabs? How can you describe them?Aha! Yes, some people can be comparable to a crab if he/she tries to pull other persons aspirations. Everyone wanted to be successful in their chosen lives that's why they kept on working day and night just to reach the highest peak of their ambitions. It's not bad to be ambitious anyway! coz everybody has it. Only a fool wanted to be a fool for the rest of their lives, right?( coz they could not think what is right).

Do you believe that if the fruit tree bear thousands of fruits, it become more attractive to the thieves? Yes! that's really true. A person who has a gift of skills, talents, potentials and possibility of promotions could be comparable to a fruit tree who bear thousands of fruits. And those thieves who attracted to it are also comparable to the crabs and more even closer to the people who kept on pulling such person who had several gifts of skills. talents and potentials. Sad to note, that those people who are less competent were promoted due to nepotism and under the table agreement. These promoted individuals become an allies to the administrations forever. But those who are more competent will be neglected in times of promotions but favorite in terms of work. Some competent persons are emotionally healthy.They give comment, suggest ways and has leadership potentials. That's why instead of helping this person to grow, some people in the position use their positions to trap the potential person because they're afraid that this person might replace their present position. Kawawa naman ang mga taong yon, they don't have such self confidence!, am I right? hahahahahah!Hindi joke to, its really happening everywhere!

Rene Ebol Coaches the Regional Science Quiz Second Placer

Cagdianao National High School- Rene Ebol, faculty of Cagdianao National High School coached the first year student who won 2nd place in the recently concluded Regional Science Quiz held at Surigao City, Surigao del Norte. Other winners who will represent Caraga region in the National Science Fair hopefully at Tagaytay City are the proponents from Tag-abaca National High School. Congratulations to all of you!

OES Pupil Garcia represents Dinagat Division

Ivy L. Garcia, a grade six graduating pupil of Osmeña Elementary School represented the Division of Dinagat in the Regional Science Fair 2007 hosted by Surigao del Norte Division. Her Study was about the Effects of Gelidium pusillium, Allium cepa L and Cymbopogon citrtus Solution Induced by Different Concentrations Against Termites ( Isoptera Termitedae). Although she did not got the top 3 highest rec0gnitions but at least she ranked fourth out of the nine participating divisions throughout Caraga Region. Her companion from Albor Central Elementary School research work in the team category placed 6th. Congratulations! You did a very good job and you made us proud dinagatnon students. Try again your luck next year. Who knows, you will be judged champion soon.

OES supports Green Philippines Project

OES supported the Green Philippine Project of Pres. Gloria Macapagal Aroyo. The school through the School Governing Council purchased 50 seedlings of Mangium trees. Trees were planted along the path ways to shade pupils during sunny days.

Teachers Involvement in the SK Registratration

Teachers were utilized in the SK registration last August 2007. But untill now teachers are still waiting for their honorarium because Municipal COMELEC Officer Langit is always giving them promisses. Hahay! I hope that the local government will support to the cries of the public school teachers.

OES recieves Repair

The School Governing Council especially the school head of OES were all very happy when the school at last received repair from DPWH and SBRMS Funds. P50,000.00 was allocated by the SBRMS Fund while DPWH is now on the process of renovating the school.

The school also received donations from individual kind hearted people amounted to P5,000.00 used by the school in their current project path way concreting.

To all who helped the school financially, technically and manually.......... thank you so much for making our school great again. We promise that all you shared amount and effort will not be useless.

May God give you the rewards multifolds.

Mr. Juan L. Espina, Jr. passess the Regional Principals Qualifying Examinations

Mr. Juan L. Espina, Jr. , Head Teacher of Osmeña Elementary School qualify in the Principals Examination conducted by the Regional DepEd Office last June 2007. Out of the 75 takers all over Surigao del Norte division he placed 6th in the rank out of 15 passers garnering a raw score of 120 from the 110 passing score.

He is one of the recommended school heads for the government of Spain sponsored training for trainers assessment to be conducted by the NEAP- National Educators Academy of the Philippines this school year.

Osmeña Elementary School ranks Third in the NAT Division Level

Osmena Elementary School is one of the top performing schools in the division of Surigao del Norte. The school ranked third in the National Achievement Test for the division level in the school year 2006- 2007 and ranked first in the District of Albor.

OES produced outstanding graduates who were achievers in the district and division levels. The following were the OES Cream of the Crops: Ymelyssa Paulines- who was decleared champion in science individual written quiz and Science quizbowl with experiment. On the other hand, Pedro Llorca also won first in the On the Spot Poster Making Contest.

Today, OES still standing with pride as it accept new challenges in the academic excellence of the pupils and teachers' competencies .

New Division of Dinagat Islands created

The new Division of Dinagat Islands is now created through the help of the DepED CARAGA Asst. Regional Director Dr. Isabilita M. Borres, CESO IV. The said division is stationed at the oldest municipality in the island- DINAGAT. Set of Area coordinators were already designated by the superintendent of the mother division of Surigao Del Norte, Dr. Fedela M. Rosas.

As of today , no superintendent has been appointed yet pending on the approval of the higher authority of the Department of Education.
