OES supports Green Philippines Project




OES supported the Green Philippine Project of Pres. Gloria Macapagal Aroyo. The school through the School Governing Council purchased 50 seedlings of Mangium trees. Trees were planted along the path ways to shade pupils during sunny days.

Teachers Involvement in the SK Registratration

Teachers were utilized in the SK registration last August 2007. But untill now teachers are still waiting for their honorarium because Municipal COMELEC Officer Langit is always giving them promisses. Hahay! I hope that the local government will support to the cries of the public school teachers.

OES recieves Repair

The School Governing Council especially the school head of OES were all very happy when the school at last received repair from DPWH and SBRMS Funds. P50,000.00 was allocated by the SBRMS Fund while DPWH is now on the process of renovating the school.

The school also received donations from individual kind hearted people amounted to P5,000.00 used by the school in their current project path way concreting.

To all who helped the school financially, technically and manually.......... thank you so much for making our school great again. We promise that all you shared amount and effort will not be useless.

May God give you the rewards multifolds.

Mr. Juan L. Espina, Jr. passess the Regional Principals Qualifying Examinations




Mr. Juan L. Espina, Jr. , Head Teacher of Osmeña Elementary School qualify in the Principals Examination conducted by the Regional DepEd Office last June 2007. Out of the 75 takers all over Surigao del Norte division he placed 6th in the rank out of 15 passers garnering a raw score of 120 from the 110 passing score.



He is one of the recommended school heads for the government of Spain sponsored training for trainers assessment to be conducted by the NEAP- National Educators Academy of the Philippines this school year.

Osmeña Elementary School ranks Third in the NAT Division Level





Osmena Elementary School is one of the top performing schools in the division of Surigao del Norte. The school ranked third in the National Achievement Test for the division level in the school year 2006- 2007 and ranked first in the District of Albor.

OES produced outstanding graduates who were achievers in the district and division levels. The following were the OES Cream of the Crops: Ymelyssa Paulines- who was decleared champion in science individual written quiz and Science quizbowl with experiment. On the other hand, Pedro Llorca also won first in the On the Spot Poster Making Contest.

Today, OES still standing with pride as it accept new challenges in the academic excellence of the pupils and teachers' competencies .

New Division of Dinagat Islands created

The new Division of Dinagat Islands is now created through the help of the DepED CARAGA Asst. Regional Director Dr. Isabilita M. Borres, CESO IV. The said division is stationed at the oldest municipality in the island- DINAGAT. Set of Area coordinators were already designated by the superintendent of the mother division of Surigao Del Norte, Dr. Fedela M. Rosas.

As of today , no superintendent has been appointed yet pending on the approval of the higher authority of the Department of Education.
